Job summary

Vertiv Co in Mumbai, India, seeks a Senior Thermal Customer Engineer to respond to service calls on site, ensure safety, and perform tasks per current codes. You will support maintenance planning, report status, and manage field data using FieldDB systems.

The role requires refrigeration/AC qualifications, strong customer service, and self-management with good planning. On-site duties, driving license, and team collaboration are essential components of this position.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 1 & 2 or equivalent in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
• City and Guilds 2078 or 2079 in Refrigerant Safe Handling, subscribed to ACRIB.
• Excellent computer skills and customer service experience.
• Self-starter with planning and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Respond in a professional manner to all assigned service calls while on duty.
• Perform all work in a safe manner and in accordance with established safety policy.
• Adhere to codes of practice/legislation relevant to the task.
• Assist in maintaining a minimum 90% maintenance completion rate.
• Keep scheduling team informed of changes to your schedule and status of open jobs.
• Maintain customer listing accuracy and report errors.
• Close tasks in Oracle Mobile Field Service daily and complete weekly paperwork.
• Create reports using FieldDB and ensure regular synchronization.
• Report sales or service leads to the proper department via the correct process.
• Support company vision and management decisions.
• Use email and Office programs to maintain communications.
• Ensure Vertiv processes are followed.
• Keep company vehicle clean and maintained.
• Protect tooling and company property issued.
• Work as part of the service team and support business needs.
• Take an active role in the callout rota.

Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each:

• Respond in a professional manner to all assigned service calls while on duty.
• Perform all work in a safe manner and in accordance with established company safety policy.
• Perform all work using good working practice and current codes of practice/legislation relevant to assigned task.
• Assist in ensuring that the planned maintenance completion rate is maintained at a min 90%.
• Keep scheduling team informed of changes to your schedule and the status of all open jobs.
• Maintain the accuracy of the customer listing by reporting errors with the site change form.
• Close tasks in Oracle Mobile Field Service (MFS) daily and weekly paperwork in a timely, accurate and complete manner.
• Create reports using FieldDB system and ensure regular synchronization.
• Report sales or service leads to the proper department via the correct process.
• Support company vision and management decisions.
• Use email and other Office based programs to maintain/enhance communications processes.
• Ensure that all Vertiv processes are followed.
• Keep company vehicle clean and properly maintained.

Qualifications:

Required/ Minimum Qualifications:

• NVQ Level 1 & 2, or equivalent in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
• City and Guilds 2078 or 2079 in Refrigerant Safe Handling, Subscribed to ACRIB.

Additional / Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent computer skills.
• Previous environmental service experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Self-starter, ability to plan, organize and manage time effectively.
• Clean valid driving license.
