Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled HVAC Service Engineer in Bengaluru to manage installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems for customers on site. You will handle chillers, VRF/VRV, AHUs, FCUs, and ventilation, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

The role requires strong fault-finding, reading schematics, and hands-on experience with HVAC controls. Knowledge of safety standards and AMC support is preferred for efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or a related field.
• HVAC certification or relevant technical training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of HVAC systems, including chillers, VRF/VRV systems, AHUs, FCUs, package units, and ventilation equipment.
• Diagnose and rectify faults in HVAC equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
• Conduct installation, commissioning, and testing of HVAC systems at customer sites.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
• Attend service calls and provide technical support to customers.
• Prepare service reports, maintenance records, and site documentation.
• Coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend corrective actions or upgrades as required.
• Support AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) activities and ensure SLA adherence.
• Train customers and site personnel on the proper operation and maintenance of HVAC systems.

• Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Proficiency in MS Office and service reporting tools.
• Strong communication and customer‑handling skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in commercial, industrial, or facility management environments.
• Knowledge of BMS (Building Management Systems).
• Understanding of energy efficiency and HVAC optimization techniques.
• Experience managing AMC contracts and service schedules.
