Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Bengaluru is seeking an Engineer II for multidisciplinary offshore projects. You will join the Bridges team, carrying out design and assessment for highway and railway infrastructure, and liaising with Canada-based customers in a client-focused manner.

The role requires 5–8 years in engineering consultancy with strong bridge expertise, proficiency in CSiBridge and MIDAS, and the ability to lead a small team. A professional accreditation path (P.Eng./CEng) is encouraged.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in engineering consultancy, with a strong focus on bridge engineering and associated civil structures.
• Experience across preliminary, concept, and detailed design stages of infrastructure projects.
• Proficient in structural analysis and design software such as CSiBridge and MIDAS.
• Demonstrated experience in the design and analysis of RC Bridges, PSC Bridges, Structural Steel Bridges, and Composite Structures.
• Strong understanding of Soil-Structure Interaction (SSI).
• Seismic Analysis and Design capabilities including Response Spectrum, Pushover, and Time History analyses.

Responsibilities

• Deliver design and assessment for highway and railway projects.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and provide design inputs to BIM technicians.
• Prepare technical reports, design calculations, and specifications.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and review their work for quality and compliance.

Your Role

You will be an Engineer within the Bridges team carrying out the design and assessment of associated with highway/railway projects.

• Maintaining technical quality standards
• Delivering projects to time and budget
• Liaising with Canada based customers in a responsive and client focused manner.

About You

  • Composite Structures
• Strong understanding of:
  • Soil-Structure Interaction (SSI)
• Seismic Analysis and Design, including:
  • Response Spectrum Analysis
  • Non-linear Static (Pushover) Analysis
  • Time History Analysis
• Ability to interpret and utilise inputs from:
  • Highway/Rail Alignments
  • Drainage and Utility Drawings
  • Landscape Schemes
  • Hydrological Studies
  • Geotechnical Investigation Reports

Project Delivery & Coordination

• Experience working within multidisciplinary project environments and coordinating with various engineering disciplines.
• Ability to provide technical direction and design inputs to BIM technicians for the production of engineering drawings and deliverables.
• Experience in preparing technical reports, design calculations, specifications, and related documentation.

Quality & Leadership

• Familiarity with quality management systems, standards, and project procedures.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience in mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
• Proven ability to review and check the work of junior team members to ensure technical quality and compliance.

Software & Communication Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
