Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking BIM Trainees to join the Transportation BIM & Digital Engineering team in Bengaluru. You will receive structured training and hands-on project experience across Civil 3D, Revit, BIM workflows, and digital delivery for major highway, rail, bridge, and infrastructure projects globally.

You will work with engineers and BIM specialists to develop models, support deliverables, and participate in reviews and QA.

Qualifications

• Recent Diploma in Civil Engineering with strong academic performance.
• Interest in BIM, digital engineering and infrastructure projects.
• Basic understanding of highway/rail/bridge engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain BIM models using Civil 3D and Revit under senior guidance.
• Prepare Highway, Rail and Bridge BIM models and deliverables.
• Assist in Corridor Models, Alignments & Profiles, and Cross Sections.
• Support clash detection, model coordination and QA processes.
• Contribute to information management and data standards.

Job Description Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and technically driven BIM Trainees to join our Transportation BIM & Digital Engineering team. The selected candidates will receive structured training and hands-on project experience in Civil 3D, Autodesk Revit, BIM workflows, and digital delivery processes supporting major Highway, Rail, Bridge, and Infrastructure projects across the UK, Middle East, and other global regions. The program is designed to develop future BIM professionals capable of supporting multidisciplinary project delivery, digital engineering workflows, and information management aligned with industry best practices.

Your role

Technical & Project Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain BIM models using Autodesk Civil 3D and Revit under the guidance of senior engineers and BIM specialists.
• Support the preparation of Highway, Rail, and Bridge BIM models and associated engineering deliverables.
• Assist in the creation of: Corridor Models
• Assist in the creation of: Alignments & Profiles
• Assist in the creation of: Cross Sections
• Assist in the creation of: Grading Models
• Assist in the creation of: Utility Models
• Assist in the creation of: Bridge and Structural Models
• Assist in the creation of: Generate drawings, schedules, quantities, and design outputs from BIM models.
• Support model coordination and clash detection activities.
• Participate in BIM model reviews and quality assurance processes.
• Ensure compliance with project BIM standards, naming conventions, and data management requirements.
• Support Information Management and Common Data Environment (CDE) processes.
• Assist project teams with design updates, revisions, and model maintenance.

Work closely with Highway, Rail, Bridge, BIM, and Digital Engineering teams. Coordinate with engineers, BIM coordinators, and information managers. Participate in project meetings and technical discussions. Contribute to innovation, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Support knowledge-sharing and capability development within the team.

About you

Recent Diploma in Civil Engineering graduate. Strong academic performance. Passion for BIM, Digital Engineering, and Infrastructure Projects. Willingness to work on global transportation projects. Basic understanding of Highway, Rail, or Bridge Engineering principles. Strong interest in BIM, Digital Engineering, and technology-enabled design. Good understanding of engineering drawings and CAD concepts. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Eagerness to learn new software and engineering workflows.
