Job summary

News Corp seeks an Engineer, IAM & Collaboration to maintain Google Workspace, Okta, O365 and other collaboration tools for our global units. You will troubleshoot Gmail/Drive/Groups, assign Okta apps, and manage email routing, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, and migrations.

The role requires 3-5 years’ end-user support experience with Google Workspace and Okta, plus relevant certifications. We expect strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to stay updated on new product releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Information Technology or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of end-user support of Google Workspace and Okta.
• Google Workspace/Okta Certification is required or desirable.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills are needed.
• Stay aware of new product releases to support them.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot issues related to Google Workspace apps like Gmail, Drive, Groups, Docs, etc.
• Perform Okta app assignment and integration
• Basic troubleshooting of Okta issues
• Troubleshoot mail routing, spam and phishing issues
• Create and manage Content Compliance rules and routing in Google Workspace
• Manage Chromebox devices
• Maintain GCDS and troubleshooting
• Manage mobile device management
• Handle high-priority issues and outages
• Escalate and work with vendors
• Configure and troubleshoot email transport technologies (DNS, SMTP, IMAP, POP3)
• Plan and execute email migrations
• Respond to spam and phishing outbreaks

Overview

The IAM & Collaboration team is responsible for maintaining the Google Workspace, OKTA, O365 environment and other collaborative SaaS applications (Like Zoom, Slack, Dropbox) for different business units of News Corp.

Job Description :

Position: Engineer, IAM & Collaboration
Shift Timings: 24/5

Duties and Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot issues related to Google Workspace applications like Gmail, Drive, Groups, Docs, etc.
• Perform Okta app assignment and Integration
• Basic troubleshooting of issues related to OKTA
• Troubleshoot issues related to Mail routing, spam and phishing.
• Create and manage Content Compliance rules, default routing rules in Google Workspace, etc.
• Chromebox device management
• GCDS(Google Cloud Directory Sync) maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Mobile device management
• Need to work on high priority issues and outages.
• Escalate and work directly with vendors.
• Message Hygiene Technologies and SPF, DKIM and DMARC
• Configuring and troubleshooting email transport technologies (DNS, SMTP, IMAP4, POP3, etc) and associated desktop and mobile clients.
• Planning and execution of email migrations
• Spam and phishing outbreak response and mitigation

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Google Workspace (Comprehensive knowledge of Gmail and a general knowledge of all other core Google Workspace apps)
• Message routing
• Exposure to email migration
• Knowledge and exposure to Identity Providers (e.g. Okta, PingIdentity)
• Knowledge and exposure to Cloud storage providers (eg: Google Drive, Dropbox, One Drive)
• Knowledge and exposure to MS 365

Education, Experience And Certification Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering or Information Technology field is desired, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3-5 years of end-user support of Google Workspace and Okta.
• Ability to stay aware of new product releases in order to support them
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Google Workspace/GCP/Okta Certification
