Job summary

Vertiv Co is seeking a Software Test Automation Engineer for embedded systems in Pune. You will design and implement a test automation framework, automate verification of embedded firmware, and run end-to-end automation projects acrossVertiv product lines including AC Power, Thermal and DC Power.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience in embedded test automation, strong Python skills, and hands-on testing with tools like Selenium, JIRA, Bugzilla, and TestRail. ISTQB certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in power Electronics / Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in software test automation for embedded systems.
• Design & development of Test Automation framework for verification and validation of embedded firmware.
• Strong programming skills using Python (2+ years) and at least one end-to-end automation project.
• HIL knowledge using NI and Vector tools (VT System) and CANoe; CAPL knowledge preferred.
• Experience with RS-485, Modbus, CANopen, Ethernet/TCP-IP, I2C, SPI protocols.
• Experience building embedded hardware test setups; reading schematics.
• Hands-on with Selenium, JIRA, Bugzilla, TestRail; manual testing experience.
• Power domain experience preferred; self-motivated with good communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Execute projects across Vertiv product lines (AC Power, Thermal, DC Power).
• Develop test cases and feasibility analyses for test automation; create and run automation scripts.
• Report progress per defined communication plan within Global Engineering.

Job description

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in power Electronics / Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience into software test automation in embedded system domains.
• To design & development of Test Automation framework for verification and Validation of embedded firmware.
• Strong programming skills using Python, minimum 2 years’ experience in Python. Should be worked on at least 1 automation project from end to end.
• HIL knowledge required using NI, Vector tools like VT System and CANoe. CAPL knowledge will be preferred.
• Testing experience with communication interface & protocols i.e. RS 485, Modbus, CAN Open, Ethernet and TCP/IP, I2C, SPI is required
• Experience in building the embedded systems hardware test setups, troubleshooting hardware, schematic reading and understanding.
• Hands on experience on software tools like Selenium, JIRA, Bugzilla, TestRail.
• Prior experience on manual testing is preferred
• Experience into Power domain is preferred
• Self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision
• Excellent Interpersonal skills & ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English

Responsibilities

He / She Will be involved in executing projects on Vertiv’s Multiple product lines like AC Power, Thermal and DC Power. Responsible for developing test cases, performing feasibility analysis for automating the test cases, develop & execute the automation scripts. Being part of Global Engineering function, will be responsible to execute the assigned job and report as per the defined communication plan.
