Vertiv is seeking a Test Engineer to validate and verify Advanced Monitoring and Control Software. The role covers testing of a distributed control system supervisor including UI, databases, security, and network communications.

Qualifikationen

• Experience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test reports.
• Experience with defect tracking systems and test case management.
• Experience with testing of REST based APIs using Postman or similar.
• Experience with Git source control and Agile development.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server relational databases and query authoring is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent with strong emphasis on software: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering
• 3+ years of software testing experience
• Familiarity with various testing techniques
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test reports
• Experience with defect tracking systems
• Experience with a test case management
• Experience with testing of REST based APIs using Postman or similar
• Experience with Git source control
• Experience working in Agile development life cycle
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server relational databases and query authoring is a plus
• Experience with TCP/IP networking and Wireshark is a plus
• Modbus, BACnet, or SNMP experience is a plus
• Experience with developing test automation a plus
• Able to learn and pick up new technologies quickly
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and the ability to express thoughts and ideas clearly
