Job summary

Vertiv is seeking an experienced software test automation engineer for embedded systems. You will develop and execute automation scripts, design test cases, and perform feasibility analyses for automating tests across AC Power, Thermal, and DC Power product lines.

Strong Python skills (2+ years) and hands-on experience with Selenium, Jira, Bugzilla, and TestRail are required. Familiarity with HIL tools and CANoe/CAPL is a plus. English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Power Electronics / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in software test automation for embedded systems.
• Experience designing and developing a Test Automation framework for verification and validation of embedded firmware.
• Strong programming skills in Python with at least 2 years of experience; completed at least one end‑to‑end automation project.
• Knowledge of HIL tools such as NI, Vector VT System, and CANoe; CAPL knowledge is preferred.
• Testing experience with communication interfaces and protocols such as RS 485, Modbus, CAN Open, Ethernet, TCP/IP, I2C, and SPI.
• Strong debugging, logical, and analytical skills.
• Experience building embedded systems hardware test setups, troubleshooting hardware, and reading schematics.
• Hands‑on experience with software tools like Selenium, JIRA, Bugzilla, and TestRail.
• Prior experience with manual testing is preferred.
• Experience in the power domain is preferred.
• Self‑motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Execute projects across multiple Vertiv product lines (AC Power, Thermal, DC Power).
• Develop test cases and feasibility analyses for automating tests.
• Develop and execute automation scripts.
• Report according to the defined communication plan within Global Engineering.

Job Responsibilities

He/She will be involved in executing projects across multiple Vertiv product lines, including AC Power, Thermal, and DC Power. Responsibilities include developing test cases, performing feasibility analysis for automating test cases, developing and executing automation scripts, and reporting as per the defined communication plan while working as part of the Global Engineering function.
