Job summary

Copeland in Pune, India, is seeking a full-time BOM specialist to create, manage and maintain the Bill of Materials for refrigeration projects. You will work across departments to ensure timely BOM updates and support engineering changes.

The role requires a Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile/Production engineering, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with PLM/Teamcenter and Oracle Engineering.

Qualifications

• Experience with BOM in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with refrigeration BOM and manufacturing environments
• Strong knowledge of Excel and analytical tools
• Good cross-departmental interaction to ensure timely BOM completion

Responsibilities

• Create, develop and manage elements of the BOM accurately and on time.
• Review engineering change orders and update BOMs as necessary.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure BOM completion.
• Ensure all BOM parts are correctly set up in BOM markup.
• Generate engineering project documents and drawings.
• Complete basic design and arrangement drawings.
• Knowledge of refrigeration BOMs and manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency with PLM, Teamcenter and Oracle Engineering.

• Diploma in Mechanical/ Automobile/ Production engineering
• Responsible for creating, developing, and managing elements of the Bill of Materials (BOM) in an accurate, timely manner whilst supporting the parts release and engineering change processes.
• Review Engineering change orders and update BOM’s as necessary.
• Responsible for having a high level of interaction across all departments to ensure the completion of the bill of materials in a timely, efficient, and detailed manner.
• Ensure all parts contained in the BOM are correctly set up and structured in the BOM markup
• Generate Engineering Project documents and Drawings
• Completeness of project basic design and Arrangement Drawing
• Experience in refrigeration scroll, semi hermetic compressors, refrigeration units BOM and manufacturing environments.
• Good Understanding of PLM, Teamcenter, Oracle Engineering, change management process.
• Excellent understanding of Engineering Bill of Materials
• High level of competence with Microsoft Excel, word, and analytical tools
• Self-motivated, proactive team player able to successfully cope with tight deadlines whilst ensuring quality of performance.
