Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Service Engineer to visit customer sites for installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and breakdown repair of Precision Air Conditioners. The role requires strong HVAC knowledge, problem-solving skills, and effective customer communication.

You will handle breakdown calls, troubleshoot issues, and maintain service records while ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to safety standards. Willingness to travel is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelors of Diploma or BTech in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Visit customer sites to install, commission, and maintain PACs.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks according to scheduled maintenance plans to ensure optimal HVAC performance.
• Respond promptly to breakdown calls and troubleshoot technical issues to minimize downtime for customers.
• Work closely with customers to understand requirements and provide effective HVAC solutions.
• Diagnose and resolve problems encountered by customers during PAC and Chiller operation, ensuring smooth functionality.
• Maintain accurate records of service activities using appropriate documentation systems.
• Provide technical support and guidance on HVAC operation, maintenance procedures, and best practices.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including sales and engineering, to address inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in service delivery and recommend solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Demonstrate professionalism and commitment to delivering high-quality service in all interactions with customers and colleagues.
• Uphold safety standards and protocols while performing onsite activities to ensure a safe working environment for all parties involved.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members.
