Job summary

Vertiv Group Corporation in Delhi, India seeks an experienced Field Service Engineer to respond to UPS service calls on site, following the Field Procedure Manual and safety policies. You will manage spare parts, keep the dispatch team updated on schedules, and maintain customer relations while ensuring adherence to local labor laws.

The role requires a technical background in UPS equipment with at least 4 years of field service experience and a good command of English.

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma or University degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Basic level in English.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in technical service area working in a service or test environment of UPS equipment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to all assigned service calls while on duty.
• Read, understand, and comply with the Field Procedure Manual.
• Perform work safely and in accordance with safety policy.
• Account for spare parts using established procedures.
• Keep Dispatching Team informed of schedule and status of open jobs.
• Submit weekly paperwork accurately and debrief completed jobs at the customer's premises.
• Maintain a clean and well-kept company vehicle.
• Report and promote sales or service leads to the proper department.
• Attend customer meetings as required.
• Be a reference point for key customers in emergencies and troubleshooting.
• Ensure availability to work during weekends and nights in compliance with local laws.
• Work with supervisor on day-to-day operations.
• Comply with ITC policy and local environmental trainings.
• Know and comply with waste handling requirements.

Brief Job Description:
Respond, in a professional manner, to all assigned service calls while on duty

• Read, understand, and comply with all procedures outlined in the Field Procedure Manual
• Perform all work in a safe manner, and in accordance with established company safety policy
• Ensure spare parts are properly accounted for using established parts procedures
• Keep Dispatching Team informed of your schedule and the status of all open jobs9+
• Maintain the accuracy of the customer listing by reporting errors
• Submit weekly paperwork in a timely, accurate and complete manner and in case of Wireless Field Service debrief the performed job in a complete and accurate manner at the Customer’s premises
• Keep company vehicle clean, neat and properly maintained
• Report and promotes sales or service leads to the proper department
• Attend customer meetings as required
• Being a reference point for key customers in case of emergency and troubleshooting
• Ensure availability to work during weekend and night in compliance with local labor laws
• Work closely with department supervisor to assist with day to day operational duties
• As a User, comply with the Company’s ITC policy.
• To attend to the environmental trainings that are locally required.
• To know and to comply with the waste producer’s requirements established by the current legislation, concerning the handling, transfer and storage of the wastes until their delivery to an authorized waste management company.
• To know and to comply with the procedures, instructions and action plans established by Vertiv Spain.
