Job summary

SYSTRA India is seeking a Civil Engineer with strong drainage design and hydraulic modeling skills for on-site work. You will use HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HY-8, Civil 3D, and Micro Drainage to model and design drainage systems for urban infrastructure projects.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree with 8–10 years of consultancy experience and are familiar with UK/Middle East/International design codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with 8–10 years of experience.
• Experience with consultancy or developer environments is preferred.
• Willingness to pursue additional professional qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Work knowledge of design software such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HY-8, Civil 3D, SuDS, and related tools.
• Model drainage networks, ponds, ditches using 3D tools and ensure design compliance.
• Prepare drainage strategies and ensure adherence to UK/Middle East/international codes.
• Demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Word, and MS Excel; assist in drawing production.

Key Competencies

Demonstrable experience in the following areas:

• Drainage Engineering & Design
• Highway Drainage
• Design of Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS)
• Hydraulic Design and Modelling
• Preparation of Drainage Strategies
• Knowledge of UK / Middle East/ International design codes and legislation

Missions/Main Duties

Working knowledge of Design software such as:

• HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS - At least 5 years of mandatory working experience in hydrology required.
• Autodesk Civil 3D – Alt least 5 years of mandatory experience in 3D modelling of ponds, ditches and drainage networks.
• Micro Drainage, Info drainage, SewerGEMS or similar software packages. A proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Word and MS Excel is also expected.
• Basic knowledge of drawing production in AutoCAD.
