Job summary

SYSTRA India seeks a qualified MEP Design Engineer to join the CTR team in India. You will participate in the design and coordination of plumbing, public health engineering, fire fighting systems, and BIM workflows for major metro and rail projects.

Responsibilities

• Understand project requirements, schedule and budgets.
• Prepare design basis report.
• Prepare detailed design for Public Health Engineering & Fire Fighting Systems.
• Prepare basic drawings and specifications per scheme.
• Design and draw plumbing including internal drainage.
• Prepare single line diagrams for drainage schemes.
• Coordinate internal & external hydrant systems as per codes.
• Prepare BOQ, cost estimations and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with global multi-disciplinary teams for MEP design interfaces.
• Ensure MEP deliverables adhere to SYSTRA policies, ISO standards and safety practices.
• Maintain documentation for design coordination and resolve issues during design/construction.

One of the major achievements of India CTR team has been the design of HS2 project in UK. We played an instrumental role in delivering 3 major Sublots on HS2 with our teams proactively engaging with Front Office in UK and delivering beyond client expectations. This resulted in India team receiving many accolades from the contractor BBV and client HS2.

CTR team in India is proficient in working on multi-disciplinary projects integrating Design, BIM and Drawing production in a seamless workflow incorporating different software. The technical and management teams within CTR get an opportunity to work and interact with other CTR teams within Systra Group from Paris, Poland, Dubai, Philippines and Brazil.

Missions/Main Duties

• Understanding the project, Client requirements, Schedule and Budgets.
• Prepare design basis report
• Prepare detail design for Public Health Engineering & Fire Fighting Systems
• Prepare basic drawing and specifications as per approved scheme.
• Designing and drawing of plumbing including internal drainage.
• Preparing single line diagram of the drainage schemes.
• Design, drawing and coordination of internal & external hydrant systems as per codes.
• Prepare BOQ, Cost estimation and Technical Specifications
• Collaborate with global multi-disciplinary teams, acting as the focal point for MEP design interfaces.
• Ensure MEP deliverables adhere to SYSTRA policies, quality management systems, safety practices, design and project processes and ISO certifications
• Maintain accurate documentation and records for all design coordination activities.
• Identify and resolve technical issues or design conflicts that arise during the design and construction phases.
• Through the lifecycle of a design project, you will liaise with specialist engineering teams to ensure that the design work is delivered in accordance with the engineering best practice and in compliance with mandated standards.
