Job summary

Eaton Group in India is seeking a hardware design engineer with 3–6 years of electronics experience to lead hardware development for residential and commercial products. You will design and verify MCU-based solutions (8/16/32-bit), manage requirements, perform tests, and ensure EMI/EMC and regulatory compliance across USB, SPI, I2C, and wireless interfaces.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation with 10+6 years (10th+6) educational pattern as specified.
• 3–6 years of hands-on Electronics Design and Development experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute complete Hardware development life cycle: requirements, design, development, verification & validation, testing for Electrical/Residential applications.
• Design hardware for Residential/Commercial products and MCU-based solutions (8/16/32-bit).
• Perform functional and qualification testing; verify designs using PSpice/LTSpice/ModelSim and similar tools.
• Ensure EMI/EMC compliance (UL/IEC/RoHS/REACH) and different communications protocols (USB, SPI, I2C, wireless).
• Collaborate with local/global suppliers, labs, and cross-functional teams; lead projects with risk mitigation.

Job description

What you’ll do:

Person will be responsible for Hardware design and development of product to meet project schedule and budget, Provide technical solutions, follow defined processes & support in product development & technology innovations. He/ She should also contribute on project planning, risk analysis and mitigation plan, project reviews, which are required for executional excellence.

\"- Responsible to execute complete Hardware development life cycle including requirements management, design, development, verification & validation, qualification & certification testing in Electrical/ Residential applications.

• Support design Hardware for Residential/Commercial Products.




• Design of 8/16/32 bit microcontroller based solutions.




• Responsible for Hardware design, Functional testing, Qualification Testing.




• Verify design using simulation tools like PSpice, LTSpice, Model Sim, etc.




• Apply analytical skills to resolve complex technical issues.




• Good knowledge of EMI / EMC certification and environmental compliances – UL /IEC / RoHS / REACH etc.




• Hardware design knowledge for various Communication protocols like USB, SPI, I2C, wireless etc.




• Collaborate with local / global suppliers for prototype developments, external labs for testing etc




• Knowledge on Project Management wrt Project planning, Risk Identification, Cross functional Team interaction e.g. Marketing, Manufacturing etc.




• Technically lead and execute projects with risk identification and proposal for metigation.




• Good knowledge on PCB design guidelines for SI, high speed design & EMI/EMC.




• Added advantage if having explosure working with Manufacturing plant, establish plant process, Testing, yield analysis etc.




• Good knowledge of NPI development processes, DFSS/ DFX artifacts and ProLaunch process.




• Follow change management process and release into ENOVIA PLM system.




• Collaborate with marketing, CoEs, mechanical, layout, and firmware engineers to successfully validate the designs up to and including certification\"

Qualifications:

B.E. (10+6 Years) in Electronics/ Electrical/ Instrumentation Engineering

3-6 Years of experience in Electronics Design and Development

Skills:

\"Experience in Hardware Design – Power Supply, Analog Design, Digital Design, Board bringup and Unit testing

Expertise in CAD tools and Simulations tools necessary for Electronics Design

Hands-on Experience of implementing various MCU based designs with verification and validation testing etc."
