Job description

Primary Objective Of Position

Work independently on embedded software development projects. Design, document and implement embedded software consisting of control functions, communication protocols, drivers, local LCD user interface, and web page user interface running on Linux or an open‑source or a real‑time operating system. These systems are used to control DC power systems in telecommunications and data center applications.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead projects and coordinate the interface with other international design teams
• Contribute to project requirements
• Develop plans and schedules
• Create detailed software design documents based on project requirements
• Develop software in C/C++ and create web pages
• Conduct software peer and code reviews
• Recommend plans to improve software quality in products

Job Requirements

• BE in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• 4–7 years of experience in embedded software development in a Linux environment
• Proficient in C and C++
• Experience with real‑time operating systems
• Experience with RS‑485, Modbus, CANOpen, Ethernet and TCP/IP protocols
• Own the project and coordinate with functional contacts at different locations
• Develop readable, robust, reliable, well‑structured code
• Review code for readability and reliable operation in an embedded system
• Identify and correct embedded software problems such as race conditions and re‑entrancy issues
• Preferred: experience with OpenBMC & Redfish APIs
• Preferred: experience with CGI, JSON, HTML, Ajax, jQuery
• Preferred: power domain knowledge
• Preferred: web/CGI application background
• Preferred: CMMI process knowledge
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills and strong team player
