Job summary

gevernova is seeking an experienced Electrical Layout Engineer for hydro power plant projects in Vadodara. Role involves designing cable tray layouts, electrical routing, and 3D modelling in E3D/Revit/AutoCAD to support powerhouse networks and switchyards.

You will generate GA drawings, BOMs, perform clash checks in Navisworks, and coordinate cross-functional teams to meet schedule and budget. Prior hydro power experience highly preferred.

Qualifications

• B.E./Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• 5–8 years of experience in Powerplant Layouts, preferably Hydro Powerplant
• Experience with cable tray routing and electrical layout in plant design
• Proficient in 3D CAD tools (E3D, Revit, AutoCAD) and Navisworks
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders within schedule and budget
• Knowledge of codes and standards for plant engineering
• Familiarity with HSE policies in design work
• Understanding of 3D coordination workflows and multidisciplinary design processes

Responsibilities

• Expert on E3D/Revit & AutoCAD for hydro power plant cable networks routing modelling.
• Generate clash check reports using Navisworks and resolve interferences.
• Create GA drawings, isometrics and BOM for cable trays and supports in E3D/Revit.
• Detail Pothead yard/Switchyard layout expertise.
• Prepare cable sizing, schedule and distribution board data.
• Develop earthing & lighting layouts.
• Prepare BOM for cable trays and supports; release in PLM.
• Review customer civil drawings and equipment GA drawings for layout interface.

Job Description Summary

Candidate's requisments:

• Well versed with Cable Trays & Electrical Layout and their relevant codes and standards in Plant Engineering. Preferably in Hydro Power Plant Engineering
• Basic and detail design of cable Tray layout of Powerhouse & its various floors, Tunnels, Pothead yard / Switchyard and DG layout. Active participation in basic design and detail design activities.
• Hands on working knowledge in E3D, Revit, ACAD tools and Navisworks
• Should be able to independently co-ordinate the all the stake holders to be perform the piping layout within defined schedule and budgeted manhours.
• Knowledge of multi-disciplinary design workflows and understanding of 3D co-ordination process.
• Functional reporting to your Layout COE leader and operationally to the System Integrator
• EHS: Implementation EHS policy & procedures during design aspect.
• Should have good knowledge of equipment Loads/foundation civil requirements, equipment handling requirement.
• Candidate should have minimum 5 to 8 years’ experience in Powerplant Layouts. Preferred Hydro Powerplant.

Job Responsibilities

• Expert on E3D/Revit & AutoCAD software for various type of hydro power plant networks routing (Cable and Cable-tray) modelling.
• Generate clash check report & resolve if any interference found using Navisworks.
• Responsible for General arrangement drawings, isometrics and BOM for Cable Trays and its supports in E3D/Revit. Generate Powerhouse Overall Equipment Arrangement Layout drawing in Revit.
• Expertise in Pothead yard / Switchyard layout detailing.
• Knowledge of Cable Sizing, Cable Schedule, Cable filling study & Distribution Board Schedule.
• Knowledge of Earthing & Lighting layouts.
• Prepare bill of material for various cable trays, cable tray supports & release in PLM tool.
• Should review and comment on the customer civil drawings, Equipment GA drawings and other consortium’s network drawings and streamline the Layout interface and requirements.
• Should proactively interact with other department for various inputs/interface requirement & keep the record. Participate/support in discussion/meetings with customer.
• Site Support & resolution.
