Job summary

Godrej Enterprises Group in Mumbai seeks a multidisciplinary design engineer to lead primary and secondary engineering design activities for Electrical, GIS/AIS substation interfaces, and PIRE/AEM projects.

You will apply STAAD-Pro for building analysis, prepare BOMs, and support tender design reviews, with familiarity in AutoCAD and MS Project preferred, and a strong grasp of EHV power distribution.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering required.
• Experience in analysis and design of buildings with STAAD-Pro; manual calculations.
• Experience in GIS & AIS Substations is highly preferred.
• Preferred: AutoCAD and MS Project knowledge; strong knowledge of EHV power distribution.

Responsibilities

• Perform primary and secondary engineering design activities including cable sizing, lighting, and HVAC layouts.
• Provide technical support and audits for EHV substations and tender drawings.
• Drive organizational initiatives and ensure compliance with internal processes.

Job Description

• 1. Primary and Secondary Engineering design activities. Cable Design - Sizing Calculation (LT & HT), Trench Sizing calculation, Cable routing drawing, Cable Schedule and Termination Schedule. Lighting design - Lux level design, Lighting distribution drawing, Conduit Layout. Air Conditioning Design - Heat load calculation, AC sizing and Layout and Power distribution. Layout Engineering - Basic SLD, Layout, Sections, Clearance Diagrams, Structural Layout, Foundation and Cable Trench Layout, EKD etc. GIS Equipment (33 kV to 400 kV), 765 kV will be a added qualification. AIS Equipment - CB, CT, CVT, PT, Isolator, LA, WT etc. Auxiliary Items - Erection Hardware Items, LT AC & DC Dist Boards, Battery and Battery Chargers, Misc Dist. Boards. Control & Protection System, PLCC / FOTE communication system, Substation Automation system. Firefighting System - Pumping and Hydrant system, HVWS system, NIFPES
• 2. Technical support and audit - Tender Stage Estimation for EHV Substation Project and Solar Project. - Reviewing Structural drawing and design of Pre-Engineered Building - Review of Design & Drawing received from consultant. - Review of BOQ w.r.t. Tender and Design Drawing.
• 3. Organizational Imperatives - Driving organization wide initiatives like Business Excellence, IMS, GRACE. - Understanding and ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements and internal processes.

Essential : Should have experience and good hand on analysis and design of buildings with Software -STAAD-Pro. As well as manual calculations / Should have experience in preparing Bill of material. - GIS & AIS Substation relevant experience is highly preferred.Preferred : Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Project. - Sound knowledge of technical aspects of EHV, power distribution system and installation projects
