Job summary

Lennox India Technology Centre seeks a Mechanical Engineer with SAP experience to support Sales Orders and design for HVAC components. You will collaborate with Engineering and Design teams to translate requirements into manufacturable designs and drawings, focusing on sheet metal and plastic components.

Required skills include GD&T, DFMEA, and a strong problem-solving mindset. You will work across multiple projects in a dynamic HVAC environment, ensuring quality and timely deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–3 years of relevant professional experience.
• 2–3 years hands-on SAP experience.
• Experience with SAP Sales Order processing.
• Knowledge of Sheet Metal Design and Manufacturing Processes.
• Knowledge of Plastic Component Design and Manufacturing Processes.
• Understanding of GD&T and DFMEA.
• Experience or understanding of Residential and Commercial HVAC applications.
• Good problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and manage multiple activities in parallel.

Responsibilities

• Work with Engineering/Design Team to gather technical requirements and execute Sales Orders.
• Understand Sheet Metal Manufacturing Process and provide manufacturable designs per Lennox standards, including drawings and documentation.
• Work with Tubing Module to provide plumbing designs and create tubing drawings across Lennox factories.
• Create designs for plastic components and develop plastic engineering models.
• Create BOMs and generate manufacturing specifications.
• Multitask and manage multiple testing efforts in parallel.
• Work with limited supervision to keep New Product Development schedules on track.
• Analyze and investigate production failures and design challenges, brainstorm solutions and implement them.

Must-Have Skills

• 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in SAP
• Understanding of SAP systems and Sales Order processing through SAP
• Experience/knowledge of Sheet Metal Design and Manufacturing Processes

• Experience working in or understanding Residential and Commercial HVAC domains

Primary Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Engineering / Design Team to gather technical requirements and execute Sales Orders.
• Understand the Sheet Metal Manufacturing Process and provide manufacturable designs according to Lennox standards, including the creation of drawings and design documentation.
• Work with the Tubing Module to provide plumbing designs that can be manufactured across different Lennox factories and create drawings for tubing.
• Create designs for plastic components and develop plastic engineering models based on industrial designs.
• Create Bill of Materials (BOM) and generate manufacturing specifications.
• Effectively multitask and manage multiple testing efforts running in parallel.
• Work effectively with limited supervision and ensure that New Product Development project schedules remain on track.
• Analyze and investigate production failures and design challenges, brainstorm potential solutions, and implement appropriate solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• 2 to 3 years of relevant professional experience
• 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in SAP
• Experience or understanding of Sales Order processing through SAP
• Knowledge of Sheet Metal Design and Manufacturing Processes
• Knowledge of Plastic Component Design and Manufacturing Processes
• Understanding of GD&T and DFMEA
• Experience or understanding of Residential and Commercial HVAC applications
