Job summary

MANN+HUMMEL in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced design engineer to lead the design and development of passenger car air filter systems per customer requirements.

You will create and modify technical data in the PDM system, produce CatiaV5 models and drawings, and manage engineering changes according to TCM processes while coordinating cross-site engineering activities.

Qualifications

• BE/Tech in Mechanical / Automotive.
• 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience
• Experience in (automotive or similar) product development processes

Responsibilities

• Design & development of passenger car air filter systems according to customer requirements.
• Creation as well as modification of technical data in PDM System
• Creation as well as modification of 3D models, Assemblies and 2D Drawings in Catia V5
• Manages engineering changes according to TCM process/ customer requirements
• Support & coordination of engineering activities within a project (concept development, obtaining patents, Proto sample development, validation. Etc.)
• Support and Coordination internal/external and for projects / workflows from other MH sites (Customer projects, development projects, cost down projects, innovation projects, field testing etc...)

Main Tasks

• Responsible for Design & Development of projects in the Engineering business unit -Passenger Car Air Filter Systems according to customer requirements.
• Creation as well as modification of technical data in PDM System
• Creation as well as modification of 3D models, Assemblies and 2D Drawings in Catia V5
• Manages engineering changes according to TCM process/ customer requirements
• Support & coordination of engineering activities within a project (concept development, obtaining patents, Proto sample development, validation. Etc.)

Experience

Qualification & Experience:

• BE/Tech in Mechanical / Automotive.
• 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience
• Experience in (automotive or similar) product development processes

Skills & Competencies:

• Key Skill - CatiaV5 , GD&T, Tolerance Stack ups, CIM Database.
• Know- how in customer processes and standards (APQP,….)
• Knowledge on creation and managing of DFMEA document.
• Proficient use of IT-tools (MS Office, CIM DATABASE)
• English language skills
