Job summary

Eaton Group in Pune is seeking a Controls Engineer to lead production level controls development for power electronics and power distribution products. You will work across the product life cycle from specification to validation and multi-disciplinary collaboration.

The ideal candidate has a Master in Power Electronics or a Bachelor's in Electrical/Electronics, hands-on experience with HV/LV converters, HILS and vehicle testing, and strong written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Master in Power Electronics/Control System or Bachelor's in Electrical/Electronics.
• Experience in design, development of HV and LV power converters, power electronics and power distribution products.
• Exposure to HILS and vehicle testing; knowledge of market and technology trends.

Responsibilities

• Define requirements, design, development and testing of power management, industrial automation, protection and energy monitoring products.
• Perform software validation in MILS, HILS environment including test plan preparation.
• Work closely with global and internal teams for production software development and integration on electronics products.
• Provide guidance to controls engineers and keep up to date with new technology and trends in motor control and digital controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, project management, marketing and supply chain.

What you’ll do:

\"The Controls Engineer’s primary responsibility will be Production Level Controls development for EATON’s Electrification products on Power electronics and Power distribution portfolio. The position will be involved in many different aspects of the product life-cycle, ranging from product specification, requirements engineering, Design & Development, and validation. Successful candidates will possess the determination required to track down and solve hard to find product level controls issues. Applicant shall have experience in design, development of HV and LV Power converters, Power Electronics and Power distribution products. Applicant shall have exposure of performing analytical design calculations, knowledge of system requirements and validation methods including HILS and vehicle testing. Candidate should have knowledge of market and technology trends. The candidate must be self‑motivated and possess good communication skills. Preferred to have cross functional team working experience (namely engineering, manufacturing, project management, marketing and supply chain).\"
