Job summary

River in Bangalore, India, is seeking a Validation/Test Engineer to develop risk-based test strategies for BMS and battery systems, plan validation activities based on PRD, field failures and DFMEA, and ensure regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in validation/testing, proficiency in creating detailed validation plans and reports, and expertise with PCAN, LabVIEW, and NI DAQ for data acquisition, complemented by strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

1. Developing a risk-based test strategy, plan test procedures and author test cases based on PRD, Field Failures and DFMEA documents.
2. Developing and Maintaining Validation Test Plan for BMS and Battery
3. Providing expertise in Functionality, Safety and regulatory compliance.
4. PrioritizIing tasks and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines.
5. Collaborating with cross-functional teams including designers, component owners, product and quality assurance to define test plans and acceptance criteria.

Ideal Candidate

1. Overall 2 to 4 years of experience in the validation/testing environment.
2. Proficiency in developing detailed validation plans & reports based on functional and regulatory requirements.
3. Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
4. Knowledge of testing and failure identification.
5. Developing test setups, select instrumentation, and ensure accurate data acquisition using tools such as PCAN, LabVIEW, or NI DAQ.
6. Expertise in identifying risks in the component and feeding them to the CFTs and also suggest mitigation plans.
7. Document all test results and prepare detailed technical reports for internal and external team reviews.
