Job Responsibilities
The Fleet Engineer must ensure that his AME license/ Authorisation is current and valid on the type of aircraft/engine/systems to be certified by him.
To carry out the inspection and certification of work pertaining to the Avionics systems and components within the scope of his Licence/ Authorisation.
To ensure that all work performed in connection with maintenance is in accordance with the requirements/recommendations of the manufacturers.
It should also be ensured the approved methods, tooling, procedures and materials are used in carrying out the said work.
To ensure all work orders, inspection schedules, are properly completed & certified before issuing CRS.
To ensure the snags observed during inspections and those reported by the flight crew during the flight are rectified in an approved method. Major defects and rectifications are promptly reported and dealt with.
To ensure that tools and equipment used during maintenance are calibrated and in serviceable condition, and are not mishandled during use.
To ensure that only approved materials and parts are used and the approved spares have necessary documentation and certification before installation on the aircraft.
To ensure while handling equipment(s), tools and carrying out any servicing of aircraft or components etc. necessary caution and safety procedures are to be followed.
Must ensure that their R/T Licence is Current & Valid.
Report to MCC/ Shift-In charge whenever any defect is reported by flight crew/observed.
Mentoring technicians. Ensure that they have read the QAN, GIC & other Technical instructions issued from time to time.
To maintain discipline and clear environment at his work place.
Should be in full uniform & Presentable as per company guidelines at all times while on duty.
Ensure implementation of Safety Policy and safety management system within indigo engineering.
To guide AMEs & Technicians and to act as Shift -In-Charge in absence of SIC.
Ensure station/ shift is adequately equipped with the required manpower vis-a-vis station approval.
Other duties as assigned by Manager Line Maintenance.
Be aware of and comply with his / her safety responsibilities and accountabilities as laid down in the IndiGo SMS Manual, Chapter Safety Policy and Objectives.
