Job summary

ACG is seeking an accomplished Design Engineer to drive the development of engineering projects from concept through implementation. You will apply engineering principles, create 3D models, and ensure timely, cost-effective solutions in a rigorous design environment.

The role requires 4–7 years of BE Mechanical/Production experience, proficiency in SolidEdge/SolidWorks, and familiarity with SAP design module and BOM management. Location: Satara, India.

Qualifications

• BE in mechanical or production engineering required.
• 4–7 years of relevant design and development experience.
• Experience with SAP design module and BOM management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop projects using engineering principles with design implementation.
• Design and modify cost-effective equipment for safety and throughput.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, vendors and customers on CAPA.
• Create and manage BOM in SAP; track time, cost and documentation.
• Ensure on-time design delivery and successful project implementation.

Job Objective

Will be responsible for Design, Development of Application engineering projects for the business. He / she will have to comply with the systems, policies and procedures within the design function and will also be responsible for goals within the Business Unit

Primary responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing projects using engineering principles and techniques with implementation in Design.
• Designing and implementing cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety, reliability and throughput of machines.
• Discussing and solving complex problems with manufacturing, vendors and customers (CAPA) Using research, analytical, conceptual and planning skills, particularly computer-aided design
• Should Consider the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints while designing.
• Preparing Bill of Material in SAP.
• Time, Cost & documentation control.

Key Competencies (Functional):

• Technically competent and proficient at understanding design of machines
• Good knowledge of engineering concepts
• Working knowledge of solidedge / solidworks
• Strong analytical & mathematical skills
• Project planning & costing capabilities
• Knowledge of MS office applications (preferably also MS Projects)
