Nestle is seeking a Civil Maintenance Engineer to plan, coordinate, and execute maintenance across factory infrastructure including social blocks, laundry, canteen, NQAC facilities, and process plant buildings. You will manage BOQ preparation, tender processes, contractor coordination, and payments while ensuring structural stability and safety in line with Nestl standards.

Plan, coordinate and execute all civil and general services maintenance activities across factory infrastructure including Social Blocks, Laundry, Canteen, NQAC facilities, and all process plant buildings. Manage civil works from conceptualization to completion including BOQ preparation, tender management (RFQ), contractor coordination, work measurements, billing verification, and vendor payments. Ensure structural stability, safety compliance, and optimal maintenance of all factory buildings and civil infrastructure in alignment with Nestl standards and local regulations.
BOQ Preparation & Tender Management: Prepare accurate Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for all civil works including new construction, renovation, and maintenance projects. Develop comprehensive scope of work documents, technical specifications, and tender documents. Manage the complete RFQ (Request for Quotation) process including vendor shortlisting, technical evaluation, negotiation support, and contractor selection as per Nestl procurement guidelines.
Work Measurement & Billing Verification: Conduct accurate site measurements for all civil works as per approved drawings and BOQ. Verify contractor bills against actual work done, approved rates, and contractual terms. Prepare Running Account (RA) bills, ensure proper documentation, and manage timely certification for vendor payments. Maintain measurement books and billing records for audit compliance.
Building & Infrastructure Maintenance: Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance of all factory buildings including Social Blocks (changing rooms, rest rooms, toilets), Laundry facilities, Canteen & kitchen areas, NQAC (Nestl Quality Assurance Center) building, and all process plant structures. Ensure proper upkeep of roofing, flooring, walls, drainage, waterproofing, painting, and civil finishes.
Structural Stability & Safety: Monitor and ensure structural stability of all factory buildings and civil structures. Conduct periodic structural inspections, identify potential risks, and coordinate remedial actions. Manage structural audit recommendations, foundation assessments, and load-bearing capacity evaluations. Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and Nestl SHE standards.
Vendor & Contractor Management: Develop and maintain a qualified vendor base for civil works. Supervise contractor activities on-site ensuring quality, safety, and timeline adherence. Manage contractor performance evaluation, work permits, safety compliance, and contract administration. Coordinate vendor payments through proper documentation and approval workflows.
Budget & Cost Management: Prepare annual civil maintenance budget and CAPEX requirements. Track expenditure against budget, analyze variances, and implement cost optimization measures. Ensure value engineering in civil projects without compromising quality and safety. Maintain cost records and provide periodic reports to management.
