Job summary

Sputtek India Pvt Ltd, a startup in the PVD coating sector, is seeking an on-site Engineer to support daily coating operations in the Greater Delhi Area. You will prepare substrates, set up and run coating equipment, monitor parameters, perform routine maintenance, and document production data.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge in mechanical, materials, electrical, or chemical engineering.
• Exposure to vacuum technologies or thin film coatings is a plus.
• Ability to operate, monitor and maintain production equipment.
• Attention to detail with data collection, analysis and reporting.
• Strong teamwork and ability to follow SOPs in a startup setting.
• Willingness to work on-site in the Greater Delhi Area.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Engineer role based in the Greater Delhi Area. The Engineer will support day-to-day PVD coating operations, including preparing substrates, setting up and operating coating equipment, and monitoring process parameters to ensure quality and consistency. Responsibilities include performing routine equipment maintenance, assisting with troubleshooting and process optimization, documenting production data, and adhering to safety and quality standards. The role may also involve collaborating with senior engineers to develop new coating processes, testing samples, and supporting customer requirements and timelines.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of mechanical, materials, electrical, or chemical engineering, ideally with exposure to vacuum technologies or thin film coatings.
• Ability to operate, monitor, and maintain industrial equipment or machinery in a production environment.
• Strong attention to detail with basic skills in data recording, analysis, and reporting for process control and quality assurance.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and follow standard operating procedures.
• Willingness to work on-site in the Greater Delhi Area, including hands-on tasks within a manufacturing or lab setting.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering or a related technical discipline; prior experience in coating, surface treatment, or manufacturing is an advantage.
