Job summary

Ultraviolette is seeking a quality inspector to operate CMMs and lead dimensional inspections for vehicle and battery components. You will prepare inspection programs, verify GD&T conformity, and interpret engineering drawings to ensure product quality.

The role requires hands-on CMM operation, knowledge of PC‑DMIS/Calypso/MCOSMOS, and experience with APQP/IATF16949 standards. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to maintain traceability and compliance.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle complete incoming quality responsibilities for vehicle and battery lines.
• Experience using PLM, MES, SAP, Odoo, Polyworks, and statistical/reliability evaluation tools.
• Diploma or BE in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Good knowledge of CMM operation and dimensional inspection.
• Familiarity with CMM software such as PC‑DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS, or equivalent.
• Strong GD&T knowledge.
• Effective verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Operate CMM for dimensional inspection of precision components.
• Prepare and execute CMM inspection programs according to drawings and inspection requirements.
• Perform first-off, in-process, and final dimensional inspections.
• Measure GD&T characteristics such as position, profile, flatness, parallelism, perpendicularity, concentricity, runout, etc.
• Interpret drawings, GD&T symbols, tolerances, and specifications.
• Generate and maintain CMM inspection reports.
• Identify dimensional deviations and communicate issues to related departments.
• Support calibration and preventive maintenance of CMM equipment.
• Maintain inspection records and ensure traceability of measurement data.
• Inspect incoming raw materials, bought-out components, and machined parts against drawings and purchase requirements.
• Verify dimensions using vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, thread gauges, and other instruments.
• Check material certificates, test certificates, and supplier documentation where applicable.
