Invesco in Hyderabad is seeking a committed professional to provide day-to-day support for business applications and manage incidents across data management and monitoring tasks.
You will work in a hybrid model with 4 days in the office, collaborating with global teams to ensure system reliability, data quality, and timely incident resolution while contributing to process improvements and on-call rotations.
Qualifications
- Experience in data engineering, ETL development, application support, or software development preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements.
- Manage tasks effectively and deliver quality work within timelines.

Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support for business applications and resolve client-reported issues promptly.
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve application, data, and system incidents.
- Monitor application health and batch processing to ensure service availability.
- Coordinate with development, infrastructure, and business teams on issues.
- Maintain documentation, run books, and operational procedures.
- Support testing activities and user acceptance testing when needed.
- Participate in on‑call, after‑hours, weekend support as required.

- Provide day-to-day support for business applications and resolve client-reported issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve application, data, and system-related incidents.
- Monitor application health, system performance, and batch processing activities to ensure service availability and reliability.
- Perform regular system checks and proactively identify potential issues before they impact users.
- Coordinate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to resolve complex production issues.
- Intermediate SQL skills with an understanding of relational databases, data models, and database concepts.
- Basic to intermediate programming or scripting knowledge (Python preferred).
- Basic understanding of ETL and ELT processes, job scheduling tools (e.g., AutoSys, UAC), and data pipeline operations, with the ability to support troubleshooting and issue resolution under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Ability to support routine production operations and assist in resolving data processing and batch scheduling issues.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and batch processing is a plus
- Exposure to cloud technologies such as Snowflake, AWS Services, or Informatica Cloud is a plus.
- Assist in application releases, upgrades, and system enhancements.
- Participate in testing activities, validate functionality changes, and support user acceptance testing.
- Support implementation of small enhancements and automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization efforts.
- Internship, academic project, or prior experience in data engineering, ETL development, application support, or software development is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing business requirements.

- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Exposure to the Financial Services industry is highly desirable.
- Experience with automation, process improvement, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Equivalent relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Hybrid work model with 4 days per week in the office.
- Flexibility to support business‑critical applications outside normal business hours when required.
- Participation in evening, weekend, holiday, and on‑call support rotations.
- Dynamic and fast‑paced environment requires collaboration across global teams.
A successful candidate will combine strong technical troubleshooting skills with excellent customer service, demonstrate ownership of production environments, proactively improve operational processes, and contribute to maintaining a stable and reliable application support landscape.
