Job summary

Genus Power Infrastructures seeks an Energy Audit Engineer to analyze energy consumption data from smart meters and identify losses and inefficiencies. You will support utilities and consumers in improving energy performance through detailed audits and actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities include auditing at feeder, DT and consumer levels, analyzing load profiles, and preparing comprehensive energy balance and AT&C loss reports. Strong Excel and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of distribution networks, transformers, LT/HT systems.
• Proficient in data analysis and reporting using Excel.

Role Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct energy audits at feeder, DT (distribution transformer), and consumer levels using smart meter data
• Analyze load profiles, consumption patterns, and power quality parameters
• Identify technical and commercial losses, meter tampering, and anomalies
• Prepare energy balance and AT&C loss reports
• Validate meter data and coordinate with field teams for corrective action
• Create dashboards, MIS reports, and audit summaries in Excel
• Recommend energy-saving and loss-reduction measures

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of electrical systems (distribution networks, transformers, LT/HT systems, power factor, load management)
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, charts, data cleaning)
• Understanding of smart meters, AMI/AMR, and MDM systems
• Good analytical, reporting, and communication skills
