Job summary

Nightfall is hiring an Endpoint Engineer specialized in Windows to own data exfiltration prevention on Windows endpoints in a hybrid Bengaluru role. You will design, develop, and maintain agents, drivers, and services, while owning features end-to-end and collaborating across teams.

Minimum 10+ years of experience and strong C/C++ on Windows are required; familiarity with WDF and kernel-level debugging is expected. The role supports a hybrid work setup in Bengaluru.

About the role

As an endpoint engineer, you will own data exfiltration prevention on Windows endpoints.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing data exfiltration prevention applications, drivers, system extensions, and services on Windows.
• Maintaining and evolving mission‑critical agents on endpoints.
• Owning complex features from design to delivery and troubleshooting customer issues.
• Designing and building secure software with cross‑platform deliverables (Windows).
• Writing and maintaining documentation about internal and public services.

Requirements

• Expertise in C/C++ on Windows.
• Demonstrable expertise in developing agents on Windows, including practical development experience with WDF (Windows Driver Frameworks), filter drivers, and familiarity with user‑mode applications.
• Readiness to learn other systems languages (e.g. Rust, Go, Python). Prior experience in one of these languages is a definite plus.
• Experience with kernel‑level debugging processes and tools, including reverse engineering techniques and debugging of kernel space code.
• Ability to decompose complex business problems and own them end to end across teams.
• Minimum 10+ years of related work experience.
