Nightfall is seeking an experienced Endpoint Engineer to advance data exfiltration prevention on MacOS. You will design and develop core MacOS components, work on system extensions, and strengthen Nightfall’s endpoint platform.

This hybrid Bengaluru role requires 10+ years in MacOS development, strong Objective-C or Swift skills, and hands-on experience with Endpoint Security System Extensions, IOKit, and kernel-space debugging.

About the role

This role is part of the team that owns data exfiltration prevention on endpoints and requires a background in MacOS platform development. Engineers in this team design and develop core features on Nightfall’s Data Exfiltration platform, leveraging file and device interfaces and deep knowledge of operating‑system internals.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing data exfiltration prevention apps, system extensions, and services on MacOS.
• Maintaining and evolving mission‑critical agents on endpoints.
• Owning complex features from design to delivery and troubleshooting issues from customers.

Requirements

• Expertise in Objective‑C or Swift on MacOS.
• Demonstrable expertise in developing agents on MacOS, including practical experience with Endpoint Security System Extension. Knowledge of IOKit and the MacOS VFS model is a plus.
• Proven experience of leading or being a key individual contributor for one or more significant projects.
• Consistently write concise and well‑tested code.
• Strong ability to navigate and debug complex code with high attention to detail.
• Ability to conduct OS‑level research.
• Experience with kernel‑level debugging processes and tools; ability to use reverse‑engineering techniques to debug kernel‑space code is an advantage.
• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment and being result‑oriented.
• Problem‑solver who likes challenging tasks.
• Minimum 10+ years of related work experience.
