What You'll Do
- Platform Ownership and Administration
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact and subject matter expert for SharePoint Online.
- Administer and maintain the tenant, site collections, hub sites, content types, managed metadata, and permissions structures.
- Ensure platform health through proactive monitoring, capacity planning, and performance management.
- Manage tenant‑level configuration settings and enforce governance policies.
- Development and Customization
- Design and develop custom SharePoint solutions using SPFx, TypeScript, React, and Microsoft Graph API.
- Build and maintain web parts, extensions, and application customizers.
- Develop automation workflows with Power Automate and author PowerShell scripts for administrative automation.
- Maintain source code repositories and version control standards using Azure DevOps or GitHub.
- Architecture and Governance
- Design SharePoint Online information architecture, taxonomy, navigation, and metadata frameworks.
- Establish and maintain governance documentation and policies for provisioning, naming, storage thresholds, and lifecycle management.
- Define and enforce security models, role‑based access controls, sharing policies, and sensitivity label configurations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements leveraging Microsoft Purview and related M365 compliance tooling.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Support
- Partner with business units to assess collaboration needs and translate requirements into scalable solutions.
- Provide Tier3 technical support for incidents, requests, and escalations.
- Develop documentation, training materials, and knowledge‑base articles.
- Participate in project planning and solution design sessions.
- Integration and Ecosystem
- Manage integrations between SharePoint Online and other Microsoft365 services such as Teams, OneDrive, Exchange, and Viva Connections.
- Evaluate and implement third‑party solutions or add‑ins when native capabilities are insufficient.
- Collaborate with the broader IT team on M365 initiatives intersecting SharePoint.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 6years of progressive experience in SharePoint development and administration, 3years focused on SharePoint Online.
- Mandatory experience architecting and administering enterprise SharePoint Online environments.
- Mandatory experience delivering custom solutions using SPFx, TypeScript, React, Microsoft Graph API, PowerShell (PnP and Microsoft Graph SDK), Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Purview, Azure DevOps or GitHub, Power Automate, and serverless integration patterns.
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint information architecture, governance, and compliance.
- Microsoft365 Certified: Developer Associate and Administrator Expert (or equivalent).
- Excellent communication, analytical, and collaboration skills.
Additional Information
This position operates primarily in an office or hybrid work environment. Employees may be required to participate in on‑call rotation and occasional off‑hours maintenance windows.
