Job summary

Koerber Supply Chain IN Ltd in Navi Mumbai is seeking a hands-on Simulation Engineer to drive Emulate3D modeling for warehouse automation. You will develop 3D models and digital twins, validate concepts virtually, and collaborate with OEMs and engineering teams to optimize layouts and processes.

Role & responsibilities

A. Emulate3D & Simulation

• Act as the primary internal user and subject-matter expert for Emulate3D.
• Develop 3D simulation models and digital twins for warehouse automation systems.
• Simulate material flow, equipment performance, throughput and system behaviour.
• Virtually validate automation concepts prior to physical implementation.
• Identify bottlenecks, capacity constraints and integration issues during design.
• Support engineering teams in optimizing layouts and automation concepts.
• Establish standard practices and methodologies for simulation development.

B. Equipment & OEM Library Development

• Develop and maintain a standardized, reusable digital library of automation equipment and OEM solutions.
• Build models for conveyors, ASRS, shuttle systems, sortation systems, AMR/AGV systems, pallet handling equipment, robotic systems, lifts, palletizing/de-palletizing systems, sensors and other relevant components.
• Ensure models are documented, parameterized and reusable across projects.

C. Virtual Validation & OEM Integration

• Work with OEMs and engineering teams to understand equipment specifications and operating parameters.
• Convert relevant OEM equipment into reusable simulation models.
• Simulate OEM equipment within complete warehouse automation solutions.
• Validate equipment interoperability and system performance.
• Support OEM qualification and solution selection through simulation.
• Develop standard simulation templates for frequently used equipment combinations.

D. Standard Solution Development

• Develop reusable simulation templates for priority warehouse automation applications such as pallet ASRS, shuttle systems, cold-chain automation, pharmaceutical warehouses, FMCG/F&B, e-commerce/parcel, automotive parts storage and semiconductor material handling.
• Reduce project-specific engineering effort and increase reuse of validated solutions.

E. Engineering & Pre-Sales Support

• Support solution engineering and sales teams during customer discussions.
• Develop simulations and visualizations for customer presentations.
• Evaluate alternative system configurations and layouts.
• Support throughput and capacity analysis.
• Demonstrate proposed solutions through simulation.
• Support early-stage customer engagement with simulation-based concepts.

F. Digital Engineering Integration

• Work with engineering and digital teams to establish an integrated simulation-led engineering workflow.
• Link customer requirements, solution design, Emulate3D simulation and virtual validation.
• Ensure simulation outputs and validated models can be effectively reused across engineering projects.

G. Standardization & Continuous Improvement

• Develop reusable models, templates and simulation methodologies.
• Maintain documentation and version control for the equipment library.
• Identify opportunities to reduce engineering effort and project lead time.
• Continuously improve simulation model quality and usability.

H. Knowledge Development

• Develop internal training material and simulation guidelines.
• Train additional engineering users on Emulate3D.
• Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Support development of an internal Emulate3D user community.

Preferred candidate profile

• 3-7 years of relevant experience in warehouse automation, material handling, industrial automation, robotics, system integration, simulation, digital twins, logistics engineering, or automated warehouse design.
• Experience in warehouse automation or material handling projects is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of warehouse automation and material-flow systems.
• Experience with 3D modelling, simulation or industrial automation software.
• Ability to interpret equipment specifications and convert them into simulation models.
• Understanding of warehouse layouts, throughput and capacity calculations.
• Strong engineering and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
