Job summary

Happiest Minds Technologies in Pune, India seeks an experienced embedded test engineer to advance automated validation of firmware and embedded software. You will implement Python-based test suites, using Pytest and Robot Framework, and verify BLE, UART, SPI, and I2C protocols across firmware builds.

You will analyze logs, participate in regression testing, and contribute to test harness and CI/CD pipelines with Git/GitHub collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience in embedded test automation and validation.
• Hands-on with MCU architectures (ARM Cortex, nRF52) and communication protocols.

Responsibilities

• Execute embedded software/firmware testing and validation.
• Develop and maintain Python-based test automation using Pytest and Robot Framework.
• Test BLE, UART, SPI, I2C protocols and perform data exchange validation.
• Analyze logs (UART/RTT) and perform regression and system-level testing.
• Contribute to test harness development and CI/CD automation.
• Collaborate using Git and GitHub for version control and pipelines.

Role & responsibilities

• Strong experience in Embedded testing, Python-based test automation.
• Hands-on experience with Pytest and Robot Framework.
• Experience in embedded systems testing and validation.
• Understanding of MCU architecture, including ARM Cortex and nRF52.
• Knowledge of GPIO, UART, SPI, I2C, interrupts, timers, and watchdogs.
• Experience in communication protocol testing and automation.
• Hands-on experience with BDD using Cucumber or Behave.
• Experience testing UART, SPI, I2C, and BLE protocols.
• BLE testing, including scanning, advertising, connection stability, GATT validation, and data exchange.
• Firmware flashing, debugging, upgrade validation, and OTA validation.
• Experience with UART/RTT logs, packet-level debugging, and automated log analysis.
• Experience in test harness development, regression testing, functional testing, and system-level validation.
• Familiarity with Git, GitHub, and CI/CD automation.
