Job summary

RAKwireless Technology Limited is hiring an Embedded Systems Engineer to support customer deployments, POC builds, and field testing for our modular IoT hardware ecosystem in Mumbai. You will own troubleshooting, create practical demonstrations, and document results for customers and internal teams.

The role focuses on hardware and firmware for WisBlock modules, with emphasis on lab and field validation, plus maintaining technical documentation and case studies to accelerate deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on hardware experience with modular development kits; familiarity with micro-controllers (STM32, ESP32) and sensor interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, ADC).
• Knowledge of LPWAN protocols (LoRa/LoRaWAN), Wi-Fi, BLE, or Cellular IoT.
• Proficiency in C/C++ (ArduinoIDE, STM32CubeIDE, PlatformIO) and Python for testing and data logging.
• Experience with debugging tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) and board-level troubleshooting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience with Wireshark or ChirpStack is a plus.
• Basic understanding of PCB layout/schematics (KiCad, LTspice) for root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

JobSummary:

We are looking for a Embedded Systems Engineer to join ourteam to support customer deployments, proof-of-concept (POC) builds, and fieldtesting for our modular IoT hardware ecosystem. In this role, you will workclosely with hardware built on the RAKwireless ecosystem (coremicrocontrollers, wireless modules, and sensor boards). Your main goal will beto own technical troubleshooting, build practical demonstrations, run fieldcoverage tests, and create comprehensive technical documentation. Ultimatelyserving as a key technical resource and reducing routine operationaldependencies on senior SMEs.

Requirements

KeyResponsibilities:

• Troubleshooting & Support: Reproduce,analyze, and troubleshoot customer-reported hardware, firmware, and integrationissues in lab environments.
  
• POCs & Demos: Design, build, and deliverfunctional Proofs-of-Concept (POCs) and technical demonstrations using theRAKwireless WisBlock platform and related sensor/communication modules.
  
• Field Testing & Deployment: Conduct on-siteand field tests to evaluate wireless coverage, range, power consumption, andreliability across various deployment scenarios (e.g., LoRaWAN, BLE, Cellular).
  
• Documentation & Knowledge Base: Documentengineering results, field test data, and integration steps as technicalreference guides, application notes, and case studies.
  
• SME Offloading: Take ownership of standardhardware/firmware queries to streamline customer support and significantlyreduce routine support burdens on core SMEs.
  

KeyQualifications & Requirements:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics& Telecommunication Engineering, Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering,or a related field.
  
• Hands-on Hardware Experience: 1) Practical experienceworking with modular development kits, LPWAN/IoT platforms preferred. 2) Familiarity with micro-controllers(e.g.,STM32, ESP32,) and sensor integration (I2C, SPI, UART, ADC).
