Job summary

SilverLines HR is seeking a skilled Hardware Embedded Engineer to join our engineering team. You will design, develop, and test embedded hardware systems and custom PCBs, using microcontrollers like STM32, ESP32, AVR, and ARM Cortex, and collaborate with firmware and software teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test embedded hardware systems and custom PCBs.
• Work with microcontrollers (AVR, STM32, PIC, ESP32, ARM Cortex, etc.) and embedded platforms.
• Interface with sensors, communication modules (GSM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LoRa, RS485, Modbus), and other peripherals.
• Schematic design and PCB layout using KiCad.
• Perform hardware testing, debugging, and bring-up of new boards.
• Write and optimize embedded C/C++ firmware for real-time applications.
• Collaborate with firmware and software teams to ensure hardware-software integration.
• Conduct validation and verification testing, including EMI/EMC compliance if needed.
• Prepare technical documentation including BOMs, schematics, test reports, and user manuals.

Job description

Role: We are looking for a skilled and motivated Hardware Embedded Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded systems, circuit design, and microcontroller-based development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and test embedded hardware systems and custom PCBs.
• Work with microcontrollers (AVR, STM32, PIC, ESP32, ARM Cortex, etc.) and embedded platforms.
• Interface with sensors, communication modules (GSM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LoRa, RS485, Modbus), and other peripherals.
• Schematic design and PCB layout using tools such as KiCAD.
• Perform hardware testing, debugging, and bring-up of new boards.
• Write and optimize embedded C/C++ firmware for real-time applications.
• Collaborate with firmware and software teams to ensure hardware-software integration.
• Conduct validation and verification testing, including EMI/EMC compliance if needed.
• Prepare technical documentation including BOMs, schematics, test reports, and user manuals.

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of electronics, analog and digital circuit design.
• Hands‑on experience with embedded C/C++, RTOS, or bare‑metal programming.
• Experience with Arduino and Raspberry Pi platforms.
• Familiarity with communication protocols like UART, SPI, I2C, RS485, Modbus.
• Experience with test equipment: oscilloscope, logic analyzer, multimeter.
• Experience with PCB design and layout tools.
• Experience with Python or scripting for testing and automation.
• Ability to read and interpret datasheets and reference manuals.

Preferred (Bonus) Skills:

• 3D design of Electronics Housing
• Previously worked on Drones and Drones Flight Controllers
• Experience with wireless technologies: GSM, LTE, ZigBee, Wi‑Fi, BLE.
• Knowledge of IoT architectures and cloud integration.
• Experience with STM32, ESP32 platforms.
• Basic understanding of power electronics and power supply design.
• Exposure to Git, version control, and CI/CD in embedded development.
