Job summary

BMW Techworks India is seeking an experienced AUTOSAR Embedded C engineer in Pune to develop and integrate software for AUTOSAR Classic ECUs. You will work across MCAL, RTE, Services, and SWCs, writing MISRA-C compliant code and configuring basic software modules using Vector DaVinci/ETAS ISOLAR/EB tresos Studio.

You will read ARXML, support ECU configuration, and contribute to build, flash, and debug cycles.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent.
• Fluent business English; German is a plus.
• Strong understanding of the AUTOSAR Classic Platform and its layered architecture.
• Good knowledge of MCAL, ECU Abstraction, Services, RTE, SWCs: Ports, Interfaces, and Runnables.
• Strong programming skills in C / Embedded C.
• Knowledge of MISRA-C and automotive coding practices.
• Understanding of embedded systems including AUTOSAR OS/OSEK, interrupts, memory mapping, and linker configuration.
• Hands-on experience with AUTOSAR Classic configuration tools such as Vector DaVinci, ETAS ISOLAR, Elektrobit EB tresos Studio, Siemens CVI.
• Understanding ECU hardware/software interfaces, bootloader concepts, flashing, and software deployment.
• Experience with automotive communication protocols CAN/LIN/Ethernet.
• Experience with Git, SVN, or equivalent version control systems.
• Familiarity with embedded build systems and compilers such as Bazel, CMake, Tasking, or GCC.
• Experience with microcontroller platforms like Infineon AURIX, Renesas RH850, or NXP S32K.
• Experience with software integration activities including build, link, flash, and test.
• Experience with debugging and tracing tools such as Lauterbach TRACE32, iSystem, or equivalent.
• Understanding of software development processes and V-Model and/or Scrum/Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Role & responsibilities:
