Job summary

Aeron Systems Pvt. Ltd. in Pune invites an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to design and implement software for embedded devices from requirements to production deployment.

You will work across C/C++, Linux, and ARM-based platforms, interfacing with hardware teams to deliver robust solutions. The role emphasizes real-time multitasking RTOS design, driver development, and validation of new product designs, plus post-production support.

Qualifications

• Experience in embedded software coding.
• Hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
• Experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems.
• Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools and peer review.
• Excellent knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces and hardware subsystems.
• Adequate knowledge of reading schematics and datasheets for components.
• Documentation and writingskills necessary.
• Experience with working with GSM/GPRS modems will be added advantage.
• Candidate must be comfortable with Linux development environment, ARM-GCC toolchains, VI or EMACS, Keil, Eclipse.
• Proficiency in protocols such as MODBUS etc. and hardware protocols like SPI/USB/I2C/CAN etc.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement software for embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment.
• Design, develop, code, test and debug system software.
• Review and comment self-written code.
• Integrate and validate new product designs.
• Support software QA.
• Provide post-production support.
• Interface with hardware design and development.
• Development of device drivers / software libraries / application software in C / C++ / Startup script for ARM7/ ARM-Cortex M3/M4/M7 platforms.
• Integration of external sensors/peripherals with a microcontroller in bare-metal or RTOS environment.
• Writing software encoders/decoders for industrial protocols.
• Working at the position demands systematic approach in thinking and delivering flawless software that involves bridging hardware and application layer.
