Job summary

Quest Global is seeking an embedded software engineer to join its Bengaluru-based team. You will develop and maintain embedded Linux software for complex engineering systems, and automate build and test workflows using Bash and Python.

Required are strong C/C++ skills, hands-on Yocto experience, and familiarity with debugging tools like GDB and JTAG. You will work with ARM architectures and various interfaces to deliver reliable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation or related field.
• Strong embedded Linux development experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and scripting for automation.
• Hands-on experience with Yocto Project and kernel debugging.

Work Experience

• B.E/B.Tech in Electronics / Electrical / Instrumentation.

Technical Knowledge And Management Skills

• Proficiency in embedded Linux system development.
• Proven experience in Bash scripting and Python for automation
• Advanced experience with Yocto Project (layers, recipes, BSPs).
• Expertise in C/C++ programming..
• Familiarity with microcontroller and processor architectures (ARM, MIPS, etc.).
• Proficiency in Linux kernel and user space.
• Experience using debugging tools like JTAG and GDB.
• Knowledge of communication protocols: I2C, SPI, UART, USB, Ethernet.
• Knowledge of Cyber Security process & tools and standards (IEEE 1686, IEC 62443-4-2).
