Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Manager Motor Controller with strong expertise in embedded hardware design and motor controller development for electric vehicles. The candidate will be responsible for motor controller hardware, vehicle-level performance tuning, testing and optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development and validation of motor controller hardware for EV applications.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of 4 kW and 6 kW motor controllers and their hardware architecture.
- Perform vehicle-level tuning for acceleration, gradient performance, range and overall vehicle performance.
- Conduct and support testing at bench-level dynamometer (Dyno) and chassis dynamometer (Chassis Dyno).
- Analyze test data and optimize motor controller and vehicle performance.
- Work closely with embedded software, vehicle engineering and testing teams for motor controller calibration and performance tuning.
- Troubleshoot hardware and vehicle-level issues and drive root-cause analysis.
- Support motor controller integration, validation and performance optimization across different vehicle operating conditions.
- Lead technical discussions with internal and external stakeholders related to motor controller hardware and performance.
Required Skills & Experience
- 810 years of experience in Embedded Hardware / Automotive Electronics.
- Strong hands-on experience in motor controller hardware design and development.
- Experience working with 4 kW / 6 kW motor controllers or similar EV motor control systems.
- Strong understanding of vehicle-level performance tuning and calibration.
- Hands-on experience in:
- Acceleration tuning
- Gradient / hill-climbing performance
- Range tuningMotor performance optimization
- Bench-level Dyno testing
- Chassis Dyno testing
- Strong knowledge of CAN (Controller Area Network) communication.
- Hands-on experience with PEAK CAN and BUSMASTER.
- Good understanding of embedded hardware architecture, electronics, sensors and motor control systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in Electric Vehicle (EV) / automotive applications is highly preferred.
Education
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Embedded Systems, Automotive Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
