Job summary

Kshatra Labs in Bengaluru is seeking an Embedded Systems Engineer to lead the hardware development of defense robotics platforms. You will own custom PCBs, power distribution, and sensor integration to create a robust nervous system for our drones and autonomous systems.

The role requires hands-on experience with dense PCB layouts, high-current power, signal integrity, EMc, and embedded C/C++. You will work closely with system design and electronics assembly to deliver reliable hardware.

Qualifications

• Exceptional PCB design and layout experience for dense, weight-constrained environments.
• Proven ability to design high-current power distribution systems with complex compute modules.
• Strong knowledge of signal integrity, EMI/EMC shielding, and high-speed interfaces.
• Familiarity with embedded C/C++ and low-level microcontroller integration.
• Basic RF circuitry experience; good knowledge of comms hardware.
• Prior experience with aerial robotics, especially drones; hands-on system design.

Responsibilities

• Own the custom PCBs, power distribution, and sensor integration.
• Develop the architecture bridging propulsion with edge-compute hardware.
• Work with aerial robotics platforms and integrate Jetson/FPGA components.
• Ensure signal integrity and EMI/EMC considerations across the system.
• Collaborate with hardware/assembly teams for rapid prototyping and testing.

Embedded Systems Engineer: To build the nervous system of our platforms. You will own the custom PCBs, power distribution, and sensor integration, creating the architecture that safely bridges high-draw propulsion with highly sensitive edge-compute hardware.

What we are looking for:

• Exceptional PCB design and layout experience (Altium, KiCad, or similar) for dense, weight-constrained environments.
• Proven ability to design high-current power distribution systems alongside complex compute modules (e.g., Jetson architectures, FPGAs).
• Strong working knowledge of signal integrity, EMI/EMC shielding, and high-speed communication interfaces.
• Familiarity with embedded C/C++ and low-level microcontroller integration.
• Basic RF circuitry experience; good knowledge of comms hardware.
• Must have prior experience working with aerial robotics, especially drones. Good with hands on system design and electronics assembly.
