The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in analog and digital circuit design, circuit simulation, and hardware verification, along with hands‑on experience in PCB design using Altium Designer.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and simulate analog, digital, and mixed‑signal circuits for drone subsystems.
- Develop and validate motor control circuits (BDC, BLDC, and related driver circuits).
- Perform SPICE‑based simulations (LTspice, Proteus, or equivalent) for circuit verification and performance evaluation.
- Design linear and switched‑mode power supplies (SMPS) and isolated topologies for drone components.
- Develop MOSFET‑based driver circuits and current‑sensing solutions for efficient motor control.
- Communication Interfaces
- Implement and verify communication protocols such as SPI, I²C, UART, USB, and Ethernet for embedded systems integration.
- PCB Design
- Ensure best practices for signal integrity (SI), power integrity (PI), and EMI/EMC compliance.
- Testing, Validation & Troubleshooting
- Participate in board bring‑up, functional testing, and debugging of prototype hardware.
- Use lab equipment (DSO, logic analyzer, signal generator, thermal imager, RPS, multimeter) for validation and performance analysis.
- Select components, prepare BOMs, and support procurement and manufacturing activities.
- Generate and maintain design documentation, test reports, and compliance records.
- Cross‑functional Collaboration
- Work closely with firmware, mechanical, and system teams to ensure hardware integration and optimal performance in drone applications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electronics engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of circuit design, simulation, and PCB design principles.
- Proficiency in Altium Designer, LTspice, or equivalent tools.
- Knowledge of power electronics, motor control, and embedded communication protocols.
- Experience with EMI/EMC, DFM, and hardware validation processes is a plus.
- Passion for drones, robotics, and advanced embedded systems development.
