Source-Right is seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain firmware for IoT devices using C/C++ on 8/16/32-bit MCUs with RTOS. This Hyderabad-based role emphasizes reliability and scalability across connected products.

You will collaborate with Hardware, Validation, Systems, and Product Engineering teams, document architecture and flow, and drive firmware initiatives with minimal supervision. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are required.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of firmware development experience.
• Experience with C/C++ for embedded systems.
• Experience in IoT firmware for connected devices.
• Hands-on with 8/16/32-bit MCUs and RTOS concepts.
• Familiarity with ARM-based platforms.
• Knowledge of UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, BLE, Wi‑Fi, Ethernet, MQTT, GSM, LoRa.
• Experience with Git and Azure DevOps.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilidades

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 6 years of professional firmware development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C and C++ programming for embedded systems.
• Experience developing firmware for IoT products and connected devices.
• Hands‑on experience with 8-bit, 16-bit, and 32-bit microcontrollers, embedded processors, and real‑time systems.
• Experience with ARM‑based embedded platforms.
• Familiarity with communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, BLE, Wi‑Fi, Ethernet, MQTT, GSM, and LoRa.
• Experience using embedded debugging tools and validation techniques.
• Understanding of embedded software architecture and real‑time systems.
• Experience using Git and Azure DevOps version control systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software applications using C/C++ on microcontrollers.
• Debug, validate, optimize, and enhance firmware performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Develop firmware using peripherals such as ADC, UART, GPIO, Timers, DMA, and Watchdog.
• Work closely with Hardware, Validation, Systems, and Product Engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Create and maintain software documentation, architecture diagrams, flowcharts, and technical notes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing codebases.
• Independently drive firmware development activities with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with RTOS environments such as FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or ThreadX.
• Knowledge of secure firmware development, bootloaders, OTA updates, and IoT cybersecurity best practices.
• Experience with STM32, ESP32, NXP, TI, Microchip, or equivalent microcontroller platforms.
• Hands‑on experience with STM32CubeIDE, STM32CubeMX, VS Code, and other embedded IDEs.
• Experience working in cross‑functional product development environments.
• Familiarity with cloud‑connected IoT platforms such as Azure IoT or AWS IoT. Key Competencies
