Job summary

WheelsEye is seeking an embedded firmware engineer to contribute to architecture discussions and implement robust solutions for microcontroller-based devices. You will design low-level code, work with ARM Cortex-M/RISC-V, and handle drivers, RTOS integration, and interfaces such as UART and USB.

The role requires 4–7 years of hands-on embedded experience, strong C/C++ skills with Assembly familiarity, and exposure to FreeRTOS. Prior production firmware and OTA knowledge are a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronics or related field.
• 4–7 years of hands-on embedded systems and firmware experience.
• Strong C/C++ programming with Assembly familiarity.
• Experience with FreeRTOS or similar RTOS.
• Hands-on work with STM32, Nordic, or Renesas MCUs is a plus.
• Knowledge of power optimization, OTA, and firmware security.
• Debug embedded systems using JTAG/SWD and related tools.
• Git-based workflows; scripting in Python is desirable.
• Prior production-grade firmware delivery is an advantage.

• Work with microcontrollers (ARM Cortex-M, RISC-V, etc.), SoCs, and interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, USB).
• Participate in board bring-up, debugging, and validation using JTAG/SWD, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
• Support OTA updates, bootloaders, and watchdog implementations to ensure robust device operation.
• Collaborate with QA and production teams on testing, DFU flows, and manufacturing integration.
• Document design specifications, APIs, and debugging procedures for internal use.
• Stay updated on embedded industry practices, toolchains, and frameworks to enhance development quality.
