Job summary

Kairos Technologies is seeking an Embedded Systems Engineer to develop and maintain firmware and communication protocols for wireless devices. You will design, implement, and debug protocol stacks, drivers, and low-level interfaces across embedded hardware.

The role requires strong C/C++, embedded systems knowledge, and Linux/RTOS experience, with hands-on debugging and exposure to Wireshark for protocol analysis.

Job description

Key Responsibilities :

Develop and maintain embedded firmware and communication protocols

Work on wireless technologies such as:

• WiFi
• Cellular (LTE/5G)
• Bluetooth
• LoRa / LPWAN

Design, develop, and debug protocol stacks and embedded systems.

Work on low-level drivers and hardware interfaces.

Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues.

Optimize performance, memory, and system efficiency.

Required Skills

Mandatory:

Strong programming skills in C / C++ esp Data Structures.

Good understanding of Embedded Systems.

Experience with Linux or RTOS environments.

Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Aware of using AI tools.

Strong Protocol Knowledge, especially MAC Layer and above hands-on

experience with L2/MAC, RRC, and LLC.

Experience with protocol-level debugging tools such as Wireshark.

Preferred:

Experience with any communication protocol:

WiFi / Bluetooth / Cellular / LoRa

Knowledge of hardware interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART).

Experience in device drivers / board bring-u.
