SWITS DIGITAL Private Limited is seeking an Embedded Automation Test Engineer with 7.5-13 years of experience in automation testing, Java or C++, Linux, and shell scripting. The role involves developing and maintaining automated test frameworks, executing functional and system tests, debugging embedded software, and validating products across environments.

Location is Bangalore, India, with a full-time on-site work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Embedded Testing / Automation Testing.
• Proficient in Java or C++.
• Solid hands-on Linux knowledge.
• Experience with Shell/Bash scripting.
• Experience developing automation test scripts/frameworks.
• Knowledge of functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
• Experience with debugging, log analysis in Linux.
• Familiarity with Git/version control.
• Understanding of embedded software/firmware testing concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for embedded systems.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression and automation testing of embedded software.
• Develop automation utilities and test applications using Java or C++.
• Work extensively in Linux environments for test execution and debugging.
• Create Shell/Bash scripts to automate test execution, log collection, deployment, and diagnostics.
• Analyze test failures, logs, and system behavior to identify root causes.
• Execute automated test suites and generate test reports.
• Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.
• Perform hardware-software integration testing and validate embedded components.
• Debug issues using Linux commands, logs, and traces.
• Collaborate with embedded developers, firmware engineers, and QA teams to resolve defects.
• Maintain test cases, test scripts, automation frameworks, and technical documentation.
• Participate in code reviews and follow automation and testing best practices
