Job summary

Umanist Staffing LLC is hiring a Software Tester for Embedded Systems in Bengaluru. The role requires 4+ years of validation experience in embedded systems, with strong manual testing and test automation skills.

You will work in a hybrid setup, testing with JTAG, CAN standards, CANoe, and Python/CAPL-based automation. Applicants should have hands-on experience with microcontroller interfaces, PCBs, and networked interfaces (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, CAN, TCP/IP).

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Software Validation experience in Embedded Systems.
• Strong experience in Manual Testing and Test Automation.
• Hands-on experience with debuggers, JTAG, oscilloscopes and function generators.
• Strong understanding of J1939 / CAN standards.
• Hands-on experience with CANoe.
• Experience automating test cases using Python and CAPL scripts.
• Application testing with strong understanding of Microcontroller hardware interfaces.
• Experience working with PCBs and capturing/analyzing logs.
• Hands-on experience testing communication interfaces such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, CAN, TCP/IP sockets.
• Experience with performance benchmarking.
• Good understanding of Automotive Testing.
• Experience with development/collaboration tools such as Bitbucket, GitHub and JIRA.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Engineering or a related field.
