Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an Embedded Application SME to design, develop, and maintain application-level software for embedded systems. You will shape the architecture, lead integration efforts, and optimize performance across hardware interfaces.

The role requires strong C++/Python skills, experience with Linux, RTOS concepts, and API development (REST/gRPC). You will mentor teams and collaborate with HW/SW teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong system design and architecture expertise.
• Proficiency in C++/Python OOPs concepts and data structures.
• Debugging, profiling, and root cause analysis.
• Experience with Linux commands, process handling, file I/O, system programming and RTOS concepts.
• Experience in API development (RESTful, gRPC) and data serialization formats (JSON, Protobuf, XML).
• Memory management, bootloaders, interrupt handlers.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold best programming practices.
• Knowledge of hardware interaction and data transfer between user and kernel space.

Role Summary:

An Embedded Application SME is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining application-level software that runs on embedded systems. They build user-facing or service-level functionality on top of system software, ensuring efficient performance, reliability, and interaction with underlying hardware and middleware.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HW/SW/Product)

Detailed Skills & Competencies:

• Strong system design and architecture expertise
