Job summary

Acumen 360 Consulting & HR Solutions seeks an experienced embedded software engineer to design and implement software for embedded devices from requirements to production. The role emphasizes ARM-based architectures, RTOS, and robust real-time programming using C/C++.

You'll collaborate with hardware and software teams, validate designs, and ensure integration of new products into existing platforms, with a focus on quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech/M.E/M.Tech in Electronics, Computer Science or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in embedded software development.
• Proficient in C and C++ with real-time programming experience.
• Experience with ARM microcontroller architectures and RTOS.
• Familiarity with I2C, SPI, UART and USB interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, code, test, and debug system software for embedded devices.
• Integrate and validate new product designs and conduct post-production support.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to meet deadlines.
• Assess third-party and open-source software for integration.

Position Description:

• Responsible for designing and implementing software for embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment.

Experience

• B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech (Electronic and Communication, Computer Science, Electronics)
• 7+ Years of Experience
• Programming languages: C, C++
• Communication protocols: I2C, SPI, UART, USB
• Microcontroller Architecture: ARM family
• Software tools: Visual Studio, Version control (SVN. CVS), debugging, and for code analysis (Keil), for bug tracking (Redmine, Bugzilla).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, code, test, and debug system software.
• Integrate and validate new product designs.
• Provide post-production support Interface with hardware design and development.
• Assess third-party and open-source software.
• Evaluate new products and integrate them into existing solutions.
• Follow established procedures and best practices and develop new processes.
• Work with the Manager in developing technical specifications based on customer requirements.
• Coordinate with design, development, testing, and implementation teams plan and complete assigned projects within deadlines.
• Identify technical risks and challenges and propose action plans.
• Ensuring design and architecture and quality of the product by following standard protocols and strong fundamentals.

Knowledge

• Experience in RTOS.
• Knowledge of open-source hardware platforms like Raspberry Pi.
• Hands-on experience in using development tools (like IDEs, Emulators, analyzers) and debugging of real-time issues.
• Experience working with products having Bluetooth, SD card interface, Wi-Fi, and Touchscreen Hardware.
• Knowledge of closed-loop control systems.
• Ability to use CRO, DMM, Logic analyzer, and USB analyzer.
• Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.
