Job summary

ASSYSTEM in India seeks an ELV/ICT Engineer to design, coordinate, and document ELV and ICT systems as part of MEP consultancy services. You will ensure compliance with local and international standards, coordinating with Electrical, Mechanical, Architectural, IT and BIM teams to deliver integrated designs.

The role requires 4–10 years of ELV/ICT design experience in airports, metro, rails or ports, with strong coordination, communication, and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in ELV/ICT design within MEP consultancy or contracting.
• Knowledge of airports, metro, railways and ports.
• Data center or mission-critical project experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and MEP drawings.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare concept, schematic, detailed design, and tender drawings for GLV/ICT systems.
• Develop system architectures, riser diagrams, layouts, schematics, and single-line diagrams.
• Perform load and bandwidth calculations; select equipment per specs and budget.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, and method statements during construction.
• Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning.

ELV/ICT Sr Engineer/Lead /Assitant Manager / Design Manager

Job Purpose

The ELV / ICT Engineer shall be responsible for the design, coordination, and documentation of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) and Information & Communication Technology (ICT) systems as part of MEP consultancy services, ensuring compliance with project requirements, local codes, international standards, and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare concept, schematic, detailed design, and tender drawings for GLV/ICT systems, including:

• Structured Cabling Systems (SCS – copper & fiber)
• Access Control Systems
• Public Address & Voice Alarm (PA/VA)
• IPTV / SMATV / MATV
• Building Management System (BMS) interfaces
• Audio-Visual (AV) systems
• Intercom & Parking Management Systems
• Airport systems and integration

Develop system architectures, riser diagrams, layouts, schematics, and single-line diagrams.

Perform load calculations, bandwidth calculations, and equipment sizing.

Select appropriate equipment in line with project specifications, standards, and budget.

Standards & Compliance

Ensure designs comply with:

• Local authority regulations
• International standards (TIA/EIA, ISO/IEC, IEC, NFPA, BS, EN)
• Client and operator requirements

Coordinate approvals with relevant authorities and stakeholders.

Coordination

Coordinate ELV/ICT designs with:

• Electrical, Mechanical, and Architectural disciplines
• IT, Security, and AV specialists
• BIM and CAD teams

Resolve clashes and ensure integrated MEP design delivery.

Prepare:

• Design reports
• Technical specifications
• Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
• Tender and IFC documentation

Review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements during construction phase.

Support site teams with technical clarifications and design revisions.

Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning.

Attend design coordination and site meetings.

Review as-built drawings and system documentation.

Experience

• 4–10 years of experience in ELV/ICT design within MEP consultancy or contracting

• Strong understanding of ELV & ICT systems and integration
• Knowledge of MEP coordination processes
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and MEP drawings
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Time management and ability to handle multiple projects
• Problem-solving and attention to detail
