Qualifications

About the Role

Chandigarh University is looking for enthusiastic, skilled and passionate ELPD Trainers for its Lucknow Campus. The selected candidates will be responsible for enhancing students' English language proficiency, communication abilities, personality development and professional readiness through interactive training sessions and structured learning activities.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent English communication skills, strong subject knowledge and the ability to engage students through effective teaching and training methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

1. English Language & Verbal Ability Training

• Conduct training sessions on English Grammar, Vocabulary, Verbal Ability and Spoken English.


• Train students in Tenses, Subject-Verb Agreement, Prepositions, Adjectives, Adverbs and Sentence Formation.


• Improve students' reading comprehension, pronunciation, fluency and overall language proficiency.


• Develop worksheets, mock tests, practice exercises and learning materials.

2. Personality Development & Communication Skills

• Conduct sessions on Personality Development, Communication Skills and Professional Etiquette.


• Train students in Group Discussions (GD), Personal Interviews (PI) and Resume Writing.


• Conduct sessions on Body Language, Personal Grooming, Confidence Building and Presentation Skills.


• Enhance students' interpersonal skills and professional communication.

3. Content Development & Academic Activities

• Develop and update training content, presentations, course materials and assessment tools.


• Prepare worksheets, mock tests, handbooks and practice exercises.


• Design interactive classroom activities to improve students' verbal and written communication.


• Develop structured lesson plans and training modules as per departmental requirements.

4. Training Delivery & Assessment

• Deliver engaging classroom and online training sessions.


• Conduct assessments to evaluate students' learning progress and training effectiveness.


• Provide individual feedback and improvement suggestions to students.


• Maintain attendance records, assessment reports and training documentation.


• Participate in faculty training, academic meetings and departmental activities as assigned.

Eligibility Criteria

• Graduate or Postgraduate in English, Communication, Education or a relevant discipline (preferred).


• Minimum 2 years of relevant teaching or training experience.


• Excellent command of spoken and written English.


• Strong understanding of English Grammar, Vocabulary and Verbal Ability.


• Ability to conduct engaging and interactive training sessions.


• Good presentation, interpersonal and classroom management skills.
